This is a pineapple strawberry banana smoothie recipe for your reference (of courseyou can create your own recipe by changing the proportion to your liking. You can even add extra ingredients such as: coconut water or honey or juices…).

It will take only several minutes from preparation to final product if your fruits are already readied. The only challenging part would be peeling and coring the pineapple which is pretty time-consuming, but it’s worth it anyway because fresh pineapple compliments the smoothie well. If you don’t have fresh pineapple, you can use canned pineapple instead but of course it won’t taste as good.

Ingredients:You can replace fresh fruits with your frozen fruits if it’s more convenient for you.

  • Half pint of fresh, stem removed strawberries, cut them in half.
  • Half pint of pineapple:

Pineapple adds a tropical vibe to the smoothie.

After you have finished preparing the pineapple but peeling and coring it, chop it into small cubes.

  • 2 fresh, peeled bananas, cut them vertically in half then slice them into small chunks, we’re supposed to have 16 pieces per each banana.

Bananas are very substantial to the smoothie since they add creaminess, fluffiness and fullness to it, even without milk or yogurt.

The riper the bananas get, the sweeter they will be, if you prefer a sweeter taste, choose the very ripe bananas, they are also cheaper since bananas tend to ripen quickly.

  • ¾ cup of water (you can change water with pineapple juice, coconut water, orange juice or anything that you prefer). This is because you need to add fluid to blend everything in and also help your blender get going.
  • 1 or 2 containers of low-fat lime or lemon yogurt.
  • 2 cups of cubed ice (disposable).

You can make 6 servings out of this.

Extra ingredients:

  • Make your smoothie more nutritional balance by adding a few tablespoons of one of these following things. (You can choose one, or mix some of them together):

Sunflower seeds, almonds, coconut meat, pumpkin seeds, hemp, china seeds…

Virgin coconut oil, extra-virgin olive oil…

  • Add more sweetness by:

Raw honey, molasses, pitted dates…

  • Add more protein:

Some scoops of protein powder.

Of course, you don’t necessarily need to add the exact right amount of each ingredient, just use how much you need, you can’t go wrong! Everyone has a different taste. Who knows, you would be pleasantly surprised.

Blending

Add the fruits first: Pour strawberries, bananas and pineapple into the blender, blend it for a while.

Next, add the remaining ingredients such as: ice, milk, yogurt…
